Please share safe ideas of cutting peak prices during and probably after the Russian invasion of Ukrayini.

Alternatives to reduce electricity use to heat.

• LPG heater.
• wood stove.
• cover windoyjj
• Installing pellet stove.
• if you have heat pump you can switch electric contract.
• Close a room you are not using.
• order solar roof.

• reduce temperature when you are away from home for a longer period.

Environmental impact

Due to the efficiency of production of electricity with fossil fuel it is a better to burn the fuel at home for heating instead of electric heater. For efficient heat pumps with COP above 2,5 it's equal to burning the fuel by your self.
